Germany will face host nation England in the final of the European soccer championship on Sunday. France and Germany settled for the other final berth in a more or less even semi-final that ended in a 2-1 victory for Germany.

Alexandra Pope came close early in the 22nd minute when she curled in a free kick, but goalkeeper Pauline Peraud-Magnin saved France.

Five minutes before half-time, Peraud Magnin had no chance. Bob stopped in front of the goal and his foot crossed – 1-0 for Germany.

France, with luck and skill, managed to equalize before half-time. From outside the penalty area, Kadidiato Diagne hit a good shot that hit the post and bounced off the defense of German goalkeeper Merle Frohm.

The final between England and Germany takes place at Wembley in London at 19:00 on Sunday.

By all accounts, England’s Popp and Beth Mead are in contention to win the shooting league. Both players scored six goals, with England’s Alicia Russo finishing third with four cones.

– My goal is not to become the archery queen. The goal is to win the European Commission. Alexandra Pop commented after the match, if I had the chance to top the European Commission title by winning the top scorers league that would be great, but I would still be satisfied if it didn’t happen like that.
