Everyone 80 years of age or older who has home care is now offered a refill for the COVID-19 vaccine. It must have been at least six months since dose 2.
People who have home care and those who live in special housing for the elderly are vaccinated by municipal employees. It is also possible to book an appointment at the vaccination clinic, if you wish and have the opportunity.
If your booked appointment falls on or after November 9, you can take the opportunity to receive your free seasonal flu vaccination at the same time as your refill dose.
Take an extra stick in your arm and get a flu shot when you’re still in the vaccination room. So you have good protection from winter illnesses, says Anders Nestedt, MD, an infection control doctor.
Anyone with access to a computer, tablet or mobile phone and electronic identification can book an appointment digitally. These are the same times served regardless of whether you’re booking digitally or over the phone. 1177.se has a page for booking vaccinations.
Those who do not have the opportunity to book an appointment digitally can book by phone 010-452 63 03 in Swedish, English or Finnish. Telephone reservations are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The health permit is mailed home to anyone age 80 or older. It must be packed and taken with you at the time of vaccination.
