In a live interview with the British radio station LBC on Monday, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace appeared. He explained how the country should expel the citizens who are still in the country. During the interview, Wallace seems to be unable to hold back her tears Washington Post.
– I’m deeply sorry, some did not come back, he said before saying again:
– Some do not come back.
Wallace also described the presence of British troops in Afghanistan and they were only there to help the British people on the ground with documents. Britain hopes to expel them all by August 31.
– We are only in Afghanistan now, we have been there for the last two weeks to help those people. We have not made any other diplomatic efforts and we are only there to help the people who have a duty to help. “People in our forces are risking their lives for it, but that’s the right thing to do,” he told the LBC.

“I am a soldier”
When asked why it is difficult to hold back tears when he talks about this subject, he replies:
– I am a soldier. It is unfortunate what the Western world has done and we must do everything we can to get people out, he said.
Wallace served as captain in the British forces before being appointed defense minister in 2019.
