One of the world’s largest game developers, Electronic Arts, has been attacked by a hacker. Attackers must, among other things, bring source code to Frostbite, the game engine used in Fifa games, reports CNN.
The break-in is said to have occurred on June 6, but was only discovered on Thursday, and comes just days before the E3 international game fair kicks off.
The pirates must have arrived Over 780GB of information, including the source code behind Frostbite, the developed Swedish game engine that drives games like Fifa and Battlefield.
On top of that, software used to develop Fifa 21 will be stolen, as well as a server code that determines how players are matched in Fifa 22, a game coming out this fall.
