WC 2021 was a huge fiasco for Trey Kronor.
But next year there is a chance of revenge for Sweden when the World Cup takes place in Finland – and now it is clear who they will face in the group stage.
The Hockey World Cup in Latvia was a fiasco for Sweden when Tre Kronor actually exited in the group stage and presented their worst World Cup since 1937.
But next year there are new times for the Blues and Yellows who will travel to Finland for the 2022 Hockey World Cup.
It became clear on Sunday evening, after the World Cup final between Canada and Finland, which teams will face Sweden in the group stage next year.
Tre Kronor will end up in Group B, which will be played in Tampere, where it will face Finland, the United States, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Norway, Belarus and the United Kingdom.
The first group, which will play in Helsinki, includes Canada, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Denmark, Kazakhstan and Italy.

A more accurate timeline for the game with the dates and times of the 2022 Hockey World Cup has yet to be determined.
