Many people are sounding the alarm about a new iPhone bug.

Thinking of updating your iPhone to the new iOS 17.6.1? Read this first! More

In a girls' group on Facebook, several iPhone users reported that they encountered problems after updating the phone to iOS 17.6.1. Some write that the mobile network and Face ID do not work, and that touch has started to malfunction. One person also says that the battery has become strange after the update and the mobile phone turns off at only 50-60 percent.

One person says she bought a new phone after she said the SIM card was wrong or missing, which now makes her upset if it was just an update bug.

The problem should mainly apply to those with iPhone 11, 12 and 13, including the Pro and Pro Max models, but there are also those with newer models who write that the update caused them problems. There are also users who write that they did not encounter any problems at all after iOS 17.6.1 and that the mobile works as usual.

Apple recommends updating.

Apple itself says it is not aware of this specific bug. But in an email to Veckorevyn, the company wrote that it recommends keeping your phone up to date. This is to keep your phone safe and running at its best. VeckoRevyn asked if there could be a bug that Apple doesn’t know about and if they are still recommending updating your phone even though some users are experiencing issues. They didn’t respond.
