Harris intentionally spreads vulgarity.

Harris intentionally spreads vulgarity.

Kamala Harris was strong and confident in her line at the Democratic convention, but the performance lacked substance. The conservative Wall Street Journal editorial page thinks so.

The book believes that Harris’s “new way forward” was too vague and mostly made up of “empty platitudes.” Opportunities must be created—but how? The housing crisis needs to be solved—how? Rising prices need to be stopped—through what proposals? According to the editorial, this is a deliberate strategy to avoid showing voters that her proposal resembles some of Joe Biden’s unpopular plans.

This gives Donald Trump the opportunity to make clear policy proposals.

“But explaining things is not Trump’s strong suit, to say the least, and the substantive issues bore him,” the Wall Street Journal wrote.

Another conservative editorial site, National Review, agrees that much of what has been said about this policy has been clichés that have only scratched the surface.

But unlike Trump, who during his nomination speech went on a long rant that turned the entire speech into an “endless mess,” Harris at least managed to stick to the script, editorial writers noted.
