Stabbing attack in England – one dead, many injured

Police said that two children died of serious injuries. Nine other children were injured, 6 of them critically.

In all cases, these were stab wounds.

Two adults were seriously injured.

– We believe the adults valiantly tried to protect the children, says Police Chief Serena Kennedy, adding that the officers first on the scene were shocked by what they encountered.

Only one 17-year-old boy has been arrested. Police are not investigating the motive of the militants. Purpose unknown.

Just before 1pm Swedish time, police were called to Southport, about three miles north of Liverpool, after several calls about a stabbing.

Was in dance class

According to the media, the attack was carried out on a children's gathering place.

Nearby, children's dance and yoga classes are said to be held for children as young as six, centered around music by Taylor Swift.

Pare Varadhan, 35, reportedly saw seven to 10 children injured and bleeding.

– They were stabbed here, here, here, everywhere, he says telegram and points for neck, back and chest.

A witness speaks Guardian The suspect arrived at the scene in a taxi and left without paying.

– Witness says that I confronted him and he was very aggressive.

The witness further reports that the suspect was wearing a mask.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital has labeled the incident a major incident and is asking parents to take their children to the emergency department only.
