Vikings Season 6 Finale Streams on Amazon

Amazon will release the final ten episodes of the final season on December 30 in the US, UK, and Germany. The final ten episodes will be available on the History Channel, which has aired the show since its inception. However, an exact date has not yet been announced.

“The epic saga of Vikings will end, but not before I get a chance to show you some of my favorite episodes,” said Michael Hirst, creator, executive producer and sole writer of Vikings. Prime Video will be the first to stream the series finale. Expect to be amazed and surprised by the many unexpected twists and turns along the way. If you can shed a tear, be prepared to do so.

History aired the first 10 episodes of season 6 earlier in the season. It ended with an epic battle between the Vikings and the Russians, as brother fought brother. Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), fighting for his homeland with King Harald (Peter Franzen), against Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen), who fights alongside Russian forces to retake control of Norway.

Hirst is executive producing with Morgan O'Sullivan and Sheila Hawkin of TM Productions. John Weber of Take 5 Productions, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer and James Flynn also serve as producers. “Vikings” is an international co-production between TM Productions (Ireland) and Take 5 Productions. MGM Television is the international distributor outside of Ireland and Canada. Corus Entertainment is producing “Vikings”.
“Prime Video has delighted Prime members with all five seasons of ‘Vikings,’” said Brad Bell, Vice President of Global Content Licensing at Prime Video. Prime members from the US, UK and Austria will learn the fate of their beloved characters in the final 10 episodes of the epic drama.

Hirst will continue to explore the world of Norse warriors even if “Vikings” ends. Last season, Hirst and Jeb Stuart teamed up to produce the Netflix sequel “Vikings: Valhalla,” which will air 100 years after the original series ended. Hirst also revealed earlier this week that he’s currently working on a series set in 1665 London in the wake of the bubonic plague outbreak.
