Prince Harry is said to be planning to “spend more time” in England following the announcement of King Charles' cancer diagnosis and his wife Meghan Markle's blessing.
The Duke of Sussex arrived in London on Tuesday afternoon after jumping on a flight from Los Angeles, where he now lives with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to be by his father's side following his health news.
According to reports, Harry hopes to put the rift between his brother Prince William behind him and be a support to William as he takes on more responsibility while King Charles undergoes treatment. The mirror writes.
A source close to the family says Harry is “keen to start mending his rift” with his older brother for the sake of their family, and William is embracing the idea as well.
An insider told our sister paper: “Harry is making plans to spend more time in England so he can be physically there for his father.
“Meghan has given him her blessing to do this because she knows that family is paramount. It's early days yet, and they are working out logistically on how to make it work because Harry's life is now in the US with his wife and children. Harry and Wills have always been there for each other through the difficult times, It seems that they will resume building their relationship again.
On Monday, February 5, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles had been diagnosed with cancer. After undergoing tests, a “type of cancer” was found, the palace statement said.
His Majesty did not immediately specify the type of cancer.
The statement read: “During the King's recent procedure in hospital for benign prostatic hyperplasia, a separate matter of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests identified a form of cancer.” “With news that the King is currently being treated for a type of cancer, his upcoming public engagements will have to be rearranged or postponed.”
