The Nokia 3210 has been revived

The Nokia 3210, launched in 1999, was one of the most popular mobile phones of the early 2000s. In total, the Finnish manufacturer sold 161 million units of the phone, placing it in seventh place among the best-selling mobile phones in the world. Three other Nokia models and three iPhone models sold more copies.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, HMD – which today makes mobile phones under the Nokia brand – has launched a new version of the phone. The new Nokia 3210 looks almost identical to the original, including the classic number buttons with the alphabet distributed into three per button, but the technology has clearly been updated slightly.

GSM is on the way out and has already been decommissioned in some countries, moreover, purchasing radio circuits for this technology does not seem to be cheaper. HMD has chosen 4G (LTE), the most popular mobile network technology today – and cheaper than 5G. The small 2.4-inch display is now a color display, and the phone is powered by a Unisoc T107 chipset with 64MB of RAM.

Storage is 128MB, but thankfully there's a microSD card slot, so anyone who takes a lot of photos with the phone's 2MP camera has somewhere to store them. Connectivity options also extend to Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting to headphones and more, and FM radio is also included for some reason.

The system is the old Nokia S30+ and therefore not Android. Built-in apps include weather, news, YouTube Shorts, and an MP3 player. Plus, HMD has confirmed the most important thing: yes, you can play Snake.
