A major entertainment channel is being axed in two weeks after 20 years of broadcasting on Sky

A major entertainment channel will be axed from Sky at the end of the year.

The telecommunications company announced earlier this month that its digital channel E! Entertainment will cease to exist on December 31st.

Guilty Pleasure concludes its broadcast with a marathon of episodes of the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians as we welcome the year 2024.

Viewers who want to continue listening to their favorite shows will need to switch to NBCUniversal's streaming service Hayu, available on most streaming devices as well as your smart TV.

A monthly subscription will cost customers £4.99, although you'll save in the long run if you opt for an annual payment.

A Sky spokesperson said: “In the UK, linear channel E! (EPG No. 159) will exit Sky platforms on Sunday 31 December 2023.”

“E! UK fans can keep up with the latest entertainment and pop culture news 24/7 through E! Online (www.eonline.com) and via E! Social.

“Meanwhile, reality fans can access more than 300 shows and 10,000 episodes — including many of E's popular shows — of their favorite reality shows on Hayu, NBCUniversal's all-reality SVOD service built into streaming service NOW, Sky Stream, and Sky Glass, and will come to Sky Q in early 2024.”

It comes after Sky announced in October that it would stop broadcasting Pick TV after 17 years of major change.

It was later replaced by a brand new channel called Sky Mix.

The big change left viewers devastated when they discovered the channel had disappeared.

“Lost Pick so sad, I couldn't find Sky Mix even after resetting my TV,” one wrote on social media.

Another wrote: “I still think they missed the trick by not calling it Sky Free.”
