The legendary rock band from London has performed at Grona Lund three times before, with their last concert on August 20, 1976. After 40 years of waiting, the time has finally come again. On 3 July at 20.00 we welcome rock legends Status Quo back to Stora Scen.
Formed in London in 1962, Status Quo are not only one of Britain’s oldest bands, they have sold over 118 million albums worldwide to date and have had over 60 hits in the UK Singles Chart. One of their biggest hits of all time was “In The Army Now”, released in 1986, but they were also pioneers of so-called Boogie Rock with hits like “Rockin’ All Over The World” and “Whatever You “. wants”. Last year, Status Quo released the long-awaited album “Aquostic (Stripped Bare)”, which became one of the best-selling albums in the UK. It has been 40 years since they last played in Grona Lund, but on July 3 at 20.00 They return to Stora Scen for their fourth concert in Tivolet.
– On Sunday, July 3, everyone who has the opportunity should go to Gröna Lund, because they will see real rock legends, says Kenny Mattson, program director of Gröna Lund.
The previous night, on 2 July, the band played in Gröna Lund’s sister park, Furuvik. These two gigs will be Status Quo’s only Swedish gigs in the summer of 2016.
