Spring is on its way, and there is so much to look forward to – from flowering trees to warmer and brighter days. Now is the perfect time to not only do the spring cleaning, but also to brighten your home and make it extra cosy. Here are three simple ways to make your home more vibrant for spring.
1. Bring colour to your home with trendy prints
Although a few nice white walls will allow the spring sun to brighten things up beautifully, you might want to consider adding some colours for spring. For example, by decorating with some stylish prints, you can give your home a much trendier look. Prints can personalise any home by choosing posters that are in line with your personality and interior style. Dare to play with designs and colours – a few fun pieces of art can give your home a whole new look for spring!
2. Add vibrancy with plants
Spring is the perfect time to bring some plants and flowers into your home if you haven’t already. It’s pretty amazing how much of a difference a little bit of greenery can make in a home – it brings light, life, and not least, energy! There are plenty of budget-friendly alternatives that you can buy and place all over your home, from big house plants to small bouquets. You’ll notice the difference pretty quickly! And feel free to play with pots and vases as they also add a lot of character to the overall look of a home.
3. Swap the curtains for a lighter pair
During autumn and winter, it’s common to have thicker curtains to preserve the warmth indoors. But with spring approaching, it’s dull to have a pair of thick curtains blocking out the sun. Instead, try opting for a lighter pair that lets the long-awaited sun slip through. A pair of light-shade curtains will also make your home feel more homely and crisp, which is what we’re going for this spring.
4. Declutter!
A home that’s disorganised and filled with stuff everywhere quickly feels cluttered, not to mention darker. That’s why we suggest you declutter your space to add some light into your home and make it feel more welcoming and lively. This doesn’t necessarily mean turning your entire home upside down – rather, you should sort and organise and throw out things you no longer use.
5. Furnish your home with shiny things
You can add an incredible amount of light to your home simply by furnishing it with shiny things, such as shiny fittings in your bathroom or kitchen and mirrors. As you may already know, the light of such shiny objects reflects the light from the outdoors and illuminates the home in an incredibly dazzling way. That said, if there’s space, we suggest decorating your home with a few small mirrors, or a large one where it’ll enhance your home. But you can also decorate your home with shiny objects where appropriate and make the whole space feel more vibrant for spring!
