Last year, Sylvia’s sister, Karin Nilsson, received the Helsingborg Senior Citizens’ Prize “for her example of treating people regardless of age and cognitive ability.” “She is passionate about educating everyone about dementia, learning more and getting better at managing it. She has made an impression on many people and was also the initiator of creating a dementia-friendly park in Helsingborg.”
The SEK 100,000 award has been established and is awarded to a person who has made commendable efforts in the field of seniors and who has made a local or national impression.
