Yellow Bird Appoints ALEXIA WENNBERG as Producer

Yellow Bird is proud to announce that Alexia Wennberg will join us in the role of Producer, effective October 1, 2018. As Producer, she will lead the development of new and existing projects, building on Yellow Bird’s legacy of TV series and films for a global audience. Alexia’s joining the Board of Directors is a clear step in the company’s expansion within the Nordics and internationally.

Alexia was previously Deputy Managing Director of Salomonson, the leading literary agency in Scandinavia, which she launched in 2013 and led the script department, which today includes the best TV and film writers in the Nordics. She has extensive experience in negotiating and managing film and TV projects in the Nordics, Great Britain and the USA.

Most recently, Alexia worked as Head of Content Optimization for Viaplay AB at Nordic Entertainment Group, as part of the Customer Experience Insights & Analytics department – ensuring growth through satisfied customers by working with Viaplay’s original and authentic content.

“I’m really excited to start working with a production company like Yellow Bird. Having been on the other side of the negotiating table – both as a literary agent and at the streaming service Viaplay – I know firsthand how hard-working and creative they all are. From the iconic and commercial success of Yellow Bird over the years, to the highly anticipated film ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’ and the brand new urban fantasy series ‘Hidden’, both premiering this fall, it’s a great honor to become part of the company. With such a strong development slate with several projects going into production in the coming months, it seems like the perfect time to join. I’m looking forward to starting to look for new and exciting content ideas from all the amazing storytellers we have in Scandinavia,” says Alexia Wennberg.

I can’t wait to work with her on all the new and exciting projects we have in development and pre-production. 2019 will be the most productive year in Yellow Bird’s history, and we need many talented Yellow Birds and she is definitely one of them,” says Johannes Jensen, CEO of Yellow Bird.
