Time and time again Volvo Trucks has delivered commercials that have gone viral. The latest love story between two traders.
Trucks, for most people, aren’t something that sparks a lot of interest. Volvo Trucks has previously addressed this with commercials that were partly successful in showing the efficiency of their products, and in part they were entertaining.
Two trucks fall in love
In the latest commercial, there are two trucks – one with efficiency and one with joking On the license plate they fall upside down to each other.
It all depends on ensuring that the latest generation of the Volvo FH – Volvo Trucks’ flagship model – combines efficiency with driving pleasure.
The reason I highlight that the two traits seem to go hand in hand is because many truck drivers think one is to the exclusion of the other and vice versa.
Volvo FH with I-SAVE
What makes the Volvo FH a source of pride for the brand so much is the so-called I-Save package. It incorporates a range of components to reduce consumption, something that is taken a step further with the help of more aerodynamic design.
The combination of everything included in the package (I-Shift, I-See, I-Torque) is a 13-percent reduction in emissions. Most trucks sold by Volvo are equipped with the package.
The ad video – which you can see below – shows how the Volvo FH combines driving pleasure with efficiency. In short, it is about two trucks who fall in love, fly into the sky and then end their journey at sunset.
Inspired by the movie cars
Inspiration is clearly taken from the film series cars Consider how the trucks express their love for each other and the way they “move”.
In any case, the message is clear – the Volvo FH delivers both efficiency and driving pleasure.
