New security menu
The new batch menu for everything security and privacy is one of the few major news in Android 13, and Samsung also contributes quite a bit to the menu. You will find it as a heading directly under Settings and it is simply called Security.
Here you will find a kind of checklist to make sure that the information on your mobile phone is safe, as well as suggestions for measures to further improve security regarding, for example, password protection and backups.
One interesting function that you can turn on is that the mobile phone can detect if an app wants to use an image with text in it and warn you. The idea is that if you, for example, post a photo on social media, you can receive a warning and an invitation to take an extra look so sensitive information in the photo can’t be read.
