The Ultra 9 285K is slower than the i9-14900K in games

According to several sources, Intel will launch the new processors within the Arrow Lake family on October 10, but recently leaks have begun to flow and most of the specifications have become known. But there is still room for new information, and from China comes a new leak in the form of a presentation of the news in the Core Ultra 200 series, as it is also called.

In one corner of the presentation, it's clearly stated that Intel is imposing a news embargo until 11pm local time on October 10, something that someone at the company appears to have ignored, he wrote. video card.

The presentation contains various numbers and graphs comparing the new processors to previous Intel and competing AMD circuits. The most striking thing is the page where Intel writes that the top model Core Ultra 9 285K not only provides the same high gaming performance as the previous Core i9-14900K, but does so with 80 watts less power.

Intel doesn't reveal which graphics card the processors are paired with, or the game(s) tested, but in both cases the Ultra 9 285K gets 261 fps at 447 watts, while the i9-14900K manages 264 fps but consumes 527 Watt.
