The trick that allows you to change your username in your Windows PC

When you go through configuring a new computer, the part where you have to choose a username may not be the most important thing. You might go into the first thing that comes to mind and think you can change it later. It’s not really that simple – you’re at least partially stuck with your choice.

It is no longer clear how to change usernames in Windows, but it can be done and it is not very difficult. There are several ways, but we show the easiest.

The problem is that this does not change the name of your user folder. If you are satisfied with the correct username, but the folder name is incorrect, then everything is fine. If you belong to those who want order and order, it only gets worse.

It is also possible to change the name of the user folder, but it is a rather risky procedure and you have to keep your tongue in your mouth. If something goes wrong, Windows may become unusable and need to be reinstalled. A safer way if you are not sure is to create a new user, move all data to the new profile and then delete the old profile.

Either way, back up or create a restore point before you exit everything.
