The popular fantasy adventure written with “Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin has, according to a group, received the most Game of the Year nominations ever.
The game was released last year “ring of fire” by From Software (“Dark Souls”, “Bloodborne”), which has been widely acclaimed by gamers and critics ever since.
“Elden Ring” has also sold over 17.5 million copies worldwide.
According to the aggregation, the game has won the award in a total of 281 locations, as well as 43 times where players have been able to vote for their best game.
The previous record holder was “The Last of Us Part 2,” which was named Game of the Year 322 times in 2020. However, this game was voted Game of the Year by players 108 times.
The Ring of Fire takes place in The Lands Between, a land torn apart after the powerful ring of the game’s namesake is shattered. Now the land is in ruins, ravaged by undead and fantastic monsters – while a mysterious golden tree towers over the landscape. You play as a “Deformed”, a warrior chosen after the episode has been cut. The game world was created with “Game of Thrones” author George RR Martin.
