In his prayer intention for the month of May, Pope Francis asked that movements and church groups rediscover their mission of evangelization daily.

Pope Francis dedicates his May prayer intentions to church movements and groups, which he says are a “gift” and “treasure” in the Church.
Dialogue at the service of the message
In the short film showcasing prayer intentions, which is published monthly by the Pope’s Global Prayer Network, Pope Francis says:
“These movements renew the Church with her ability to speak and serve the mission of evangelization.” He also notes that each group has its own unique appeal, which allows them to display the beauty and freshness of the gospel proclamation.
He explains that each charisma is different thanks to the creativity that distinguishes the different groups and movements. Although they speak different languages, they can understand themselves.
At the same time, the Pope warns against the temptation of introverts and calls on groups to continue working “in the service of bishops and parishes”.
Always on the move
Pope Francis encourages them to “always be in motion and respond to the impulse of the Holy Spirit in response to the challenges of today’s world,” while remaining “harmonious with the Church, because harmony is the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
And he concludes his message with a prayer “for church movements and groups to rediscover daily their mission, the mission of evangelization, and to put their talent at the service of the needs of the world.”
“Unapologetic writer. Bacon enthusiast. Introvert. Evil troublemaker. Friend of animals everywhere.”
