The next generation AMD Ryzen has the working name Granite Ridge It is expected to be launched later in 2024. But already now the circuits should be in mass production according to X's calculation Kepler_L2. AMD's next generation Ryzen processors are based on the Zen 5 architecture, and in addition to improvements in pure performance and power efficiency, it will also invest heavily in artificial intelligence.
It is likely that AMD is betting on the launch in the third or fourth quarter of 2024 with its unveiling either during Computex at the beginning of the summer, or perhaps after the summer. Even the next generation Ryzen will be placed on the AMD AM5 platform with 600 series controller circuits as AMD has promised support until 2025.
However, if the launch rate of previous generations is any indication of the future, the cache-rich next-gen X3D series will be delayed until at least 2025, although exact details remain to be seen. Although the whistleblower in question has a history of reliable information, all rumors should of course be treated with caution.
