Comfortable gaming nights are almost here for everyone who pre-ordered the Playstation 5 Pro. On November 7, it's up to Sony and Mark Cerny, who promised uncompromising gaming experiences when the console was unveiled in September, to prove it.
Another thing that was previously promised is professional upgrades for several game titles, including The Last of Us games. This was made possible earlier this week by game studio Naughty Dog, when its patches appeared Part one and Part Two Remastered.
With the patches, The Last Of Us games are getting a new setting optimized for the PS5 Pro, along with the existing Performance and Fidelity modes, which should also run better on the new console.
In Pro mode, games are displayed at 1440p and use PSSR upscaling technology to scale up to 4K. This is while “maintaining the 60fps target.” Although this wording could be interpreted as a pat on the stove, it doesn't appear that streaming will be affected in these specific game titles.
Based on The Last of Us Part II Remastered testing published by Digital Foundry earlier in October (above), the PSSR impresses, keeping frame rates and graphics at high levels throughout.
