The first woman on the moon to wear Prada

Fashion mixed with space research may not be the first thing that comes to mind when talking about future moon landings, but now the two worlds have met. Italian luxury fashion house PradaThe American space company Axiom Space, in cooperation with the American Space Corporation, was commissioned to design a spacesuit for the first woman to set foot on the moon. A landmark collaboration that unites style and technology – and makes space travel a little more designed.

The new space suit, as it is officially called Extra-vehicle mobility unitIt was recently unveiled at the International Astronautical Congress in Milan. The design is proof that the fashion house can push the boundaries of innovation – even beyond the Earth's atmosphere. But the Prada spacesuit is not only stylish, it's also practical and should protect astronauts from the harsh conditions in space.

The American company Axiom Space was founded in 2016 with the aim of developing and marketing space travel and space research. Who knows, maybe it won't be long before we see a fashion show on the moon, with its surface serving as a catwalk.
