Nobody could have missed out on Manchester United winning the League Cup yesterday, and so the next day our dear manager took the opportunity to send an open letter to all the fans out there. In addition to what happened yesterday, we will also review the performance of the youth teams this weekend and talk about the latest developments in the ownership issue.
Youth games at the weekend
Under 21: A bad late goal at the end
The U21 side faced Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league game on Friday and were on course for a solo goal victory after goals from in-form goals from Omari Forson and Joe Hugill.
With only two minutes left in regulation time, it was 2-1 to United, but the home team managed to come back and make it 2-2.
In a very limping table, United are currently in seventh place.
U18: Victor Musa’s goalscoring performance continues
If the aforementioned Forson is doing well, we can say the same about Victor Moses for the little ones. The 16-year-old has scored six goals in his last five matches, and in the win over Derby County last weekend, he was responsible for scoring twice.
The match finished 5-2 to United, in what was said to be a very entertaining match.
James Scanlon, James Nolan and Ethan Williams scored the other United goals. Below you can see a cannon target signed by Nolan.

Glazer is in no hurry to sell
Yes, that is the question. There have been official bids for the club from both Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, but bids from interested parties were said to be insufficient, according to reports. financial times.
The bid is worth around SEK 45 billion, but according to The Times, the world record may have to be broken for the new ownership to become a reality for Manchester United. American billionaire Rob Walton acquired the Denver Broncos (American Football) last year and then paid $4.6 billion.
But at the same time, he also wrote that the Glazers do not rule out continuing to have an ownership stake in the club. The alternative then is to obtain capital from various investors and thus also get rid of the balance sheet.
Finally, the Financial Times reports that the Glazers are in no rush to sell and that it could heat up further in the summer, when the season ends and the transfer window opens.
A letter from the president
Yesterday, Erik ten Hag won his first trophy as Manchester United manager when Newcastle United lost in the League Cup. I dare stick my chin in and say it wasn’t the last title the Dutchman would add to the collection at United…
Perhaps no one doubts that Ten Hag is the right person to lead this federation, both in terms of his footballing skills and personality.
That he really cares about the club and the fans, we really knew in black and white, when after yesterday’s final he took the time to put together an open letter, aimed primarily at the fans.
Ten Hag writes, among others:
I am proud of my players and staff for their willingness and effort. Yesterday we saw the desire, the spirit and the determination required of each and every one of us representing Manchester United.
He continues and tells us that despite yesterday, they will not settle down.
We know the historical significance of titles at a great club. We are delighted to bring this trophy back to Old Trafford, but we are far from satisfied and will not be satisfied with what we have achieved.
Ten Hag ends the letter with the following words:
Keep in mind that you [supportrarna] is critical to what we want to achieve, and we take what happened yesterday as evidence of what can happen when we unite [United] together.
Thank you for your support and dedication,
Eric ten Hag
✍️ To all Manchester United Supporters…

Bettis date
On Thursday 9 March at 9pm, United face Real Betis in the last 16 of the Europa League at Old Trafford.
The second leg will be played in Seville on Thursday 16 March with a kick-off time of 6.45pm.
The new regulations receive parliamentary support
The size of the so-called modern football is growing every year, but in the UK the laws, started by the fans, are now supported by the British Parliament.
One system is that, among other things, “historic” clubs should be able to prevent their own bankruptcy and give supporters greater influence in club hiring, the appointment of owners and other important positions through some form of probation.
The whole idea is to preserve and defend the culture of English football.
The full list of regulations can be read on the BBC.
Earps can be commended
During the evening, Marie Erbes could be presented with the Best Goalkeeper of the Year 2022 award at FIFA’s The Best ceremony.
