StratNeuro is awarding this year’s seed grant of SEK 1,000,000 to the following researchers (in alphabetical order):
- Hong Shu: “Dementia and Kidney Disease: Epidemiological Approaches to Risk Factors and Treatment Strategies”
- Kyle McKayHeterogeneity in the onset of MS and its impact on disease progression.
- Lawrence Picton: “Movement of the Central Nervous System: Intramedullary Proprioception for Mammalian Motor Control”
- Roberta Filograna: “New mechanistic insights into the role of mitochondria in Parkinson’s disease”
- Michael Ratz*: “Molecular Anatomy of the Neural Circuit Assembly”
* Michael Ratz is a Visiting Scholar in the Karl Deisseroth Laboratory, Stanford University, USA, and will receive a Starting Grant when his work at Karolinska Institutet becomes official.
Two of this year’s winners, Hong Shu and Lawrence Picton, have received it before Stratneuro Postdoctoral Scholarship 2020reinforcing StratNeuro’s commitment to nurturing a new generation of research leaders in neuroscience.
