Chrome OS 14583.0, a newer version of Chromebook OS, is currently beta testing.
The big news is Steam support, but it requires an 11th generation Core i5 or i7, Iris Xe graphics, and at least 8GB of working memory.
Therefore, support is limited to the following seven models:
- Acer Chromebook 514 (CB514-1W)
- Acer Chromebook 515 (CB515-1W)
- Acer Chromebook Spin 713 (CP713-3W)
- Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5500)
- Asus Chromebook CX9 (CX9400)
- HP Pro c640 G2 Chromebook
- Lenovo 5i-14 Chromebook
As for the games available, there are 48 titles, more specifically these:

To install Chrome OS 14583.0 now, you need to switch to the beta channel. Instructions on how to do this can be found at Google support pages.
It should be noted that this is an early preview version, so there are a lot of bugs and the like.
