Russell Peters is one of the most successful comedians in the world and in April 2015 he returned to Sweden with his new show “Almost Famous”. The Canadian comedian has previously broken audience records in Canada, Great Britain, Australia and Singapore and has appeared on the hit show “The Chef” and as a judge on the popular comedy competition “Last Comic Standing”. Now Russell Peters has started his big world tour and on April 22, 2015 he will come to Göta Lejon in Stockholm. Tickets go on sale on November 28 at 10.00.
Russell Peters has sold out shows on four continents and is, according to Forbes, the third most successful comedian in the world. His latest success is the “Notorious” world tour, which was also the subject of a four-part behind-the-scenes documentary, “Russell Peters vs. The World,” available to watch on Netflix.
In his stand-up routine, Russell Peters often mixes clever audience commentary with universal themes that work as well in Singapore as they do in Sweden. As a Canadian with an Indian accent, he loves to address race, making audiences laugh and reflect on common prejudices.

Russell Peters hit it big in 2004 when one of his first major shows went viral. Things took off quickly after that. He was the first North American to perform stand-up in India, has performed in the UAE, Australia, China and South Africa, among other countries, and has been a field performer for US troops.
Russell Peters was an early adopter of taking his shows to large venues, becoming the first comedian to sell out Toronto's Air Canada Centre. He has also broken audience records in Australia, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
