The doors to CES haven't opened yet, but Samsung has already showcased a number of new products in the audio and video categories that you can get a closer look at during the show.
The big news is the new Neo QLED 8K, which is just 12.9mm deep, and is now equipped with a new TV processor with support for additional AI functions. The NQ8 AI Gen3 is equipped with a neural processor, and should be twice as fast as its predecessor, in addition to containing eight times more neural networks, for a total of 512 networks.
Among other things, AI functions are used to upscale images to 8K resolution and add details to scenes where the eye is naturally drawn to make them appear more three-dimensional and lifelike. Through deep learning, ball distortion in sports broadcasts must also be countered, and the Neo QLED 8K must detect which sport is being broadcast and, based on that, adjust the image so that the ball looks as it should.

The new Active Voice Amplifier Pro feature uses artificial intelligence to amplify dialogue in scenes, and voices are separated from other sounds and amplified so you don't have to turn up the volume to hear what's being said. AI is also being used in another new feature to read built-in subtitles on the TV.
Samsung also showed off a series of new OLED displays, including the 77-inch S95D. The screen is supposed to be 20 percent brighter than its predecessors, and it also uses artificial intelligence to improve color accuracy to the point where the TV has passed Pantone Validated certification. The S95D also has a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

In addition to the S95D, Samsung also announced that it will launch OLED displays in the S90D and S85D models in sizes ranging from 42 to 83 inches. All OLED displays also have new Glare Free technology, which is supposed to reduce reflections and glare in displays through a new hard coating and surface coating pattern.
In addition to the TVs you'll be able to buy this year, Samsung also showed off new Micro LED displays. These displays look like transparent glass, but can project an image onto the screen via a tiny LED chip, and the LED driver circuits are located above the glass and so should minimize brightness loss. Samsung says the small, transparent LED displays will have many uses in the home and business environment.
There's some other imaging-related news before we can move on to Samsung's latest audio. Tavel tvn The Frame now has more than 2500 artworks in its art store. Each month you will have free access to a selection of them.
Two wireless projectors will launch in 2024, the Premiere 8k projector for the home, and Samsung's second-generation The Freestyle portable projector. New features for linking two Freestyles together make it possible to display a 160-inch 21:9 image.
Then we got to the sound. 2024 Q-Symphony is a feature from Samsung that allows multiple wireless speakers and soundbars to be connected to your TV or projector. With Q-Symphony, for example, you can connect the new Music Frame soundbar to your TV. The music frame can also act as a standalone speaker and should blend easily into the home, looking like a modern picture frame, unlike the Ikea Symfonisk.
The last thing to appear on the home theater front were two soundbars. The HW-Q995D is configured in 11.1.4 channels, and has Dolby Atmos support, as well as 4k and 120Hz content passthrough. The HW-S810D is an ultra-slim soundbar, measuring just 1.6 inches deep, that can fit on even the busiest TV stands. Despite its small size, it contains ten speaker components.
Samsung is not quite done for the day, at 23.00 tonight the company will hold a live broadcast called “AI for all”.
