Samsung has introduced new phones in the Note series every year since its first release in the fall of 2011. The Note was one of the first smartphones to focus on offering a large screen, something that is becoming standard today.
The series also targeted tech enthusiasts more than the flagship of the S series. The Note often had slightly sharper hardware and it was the series in which Samsung tested its latest technology. Aside from the 2016 Galaxy Note 7 that was canceled due to serious battery issues, the streak has lasted year after year.
Previously In August last year A report claimed that Samsung will not release any new Note this year and instead is introducing the S Pen for more models. Early rumors turned out to be true, with Samsung now confirming that there will be no new Note during the fall.
Samsung will instead offer similar functionality, including the S Pen, in more phones – something the company has also mentioned previously. It remains to be seen how it will be in the future, but Samsung will likely see the Galaxy Fold as an alternative to the Note.
Instead of revealing a new Galaxy Note this time around, we’ll be expanding our beloved Note features to more Samsung Galaxy devices. In the meantime, mark your calendars and tune in to the Unpacked event on August 11th to see what happens.
