The incident is said to have occurred earlier this week near the village of Kostjantynivka in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.
She wrote that a group of Russian soldiers carried out an operation in the region, but chose to surrender to the Ukrainian army after suffering losses. Newsweek.
The Ukrainian army said that when the group emerged from a forested area with their hands raised in the air, heading towards where the Ukrainian army was located, Russian forces opened fire on them.
According to the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine, many Russian soldiers were shot down.
“Not all of them came safely to our battalion,” the group wrote.

It is not clear how many soldiers were killed and how many surrendered. Information surrounding the incident has not been independently verified. Russia did not comment on the data either.
In early September, there were reports that Russian soldiers had been shot by their own army in the Kursk region, Newsweek wrote.
There was no news at the time that any Russian soldiers had been shot dead.
