After the previous management of the company on the island terminated the agreement, the popular pub on the small British island was operated through temporary solutions. You are now looking with light and lift for the fiery spirit who wants to take charge and follow through on everything.
With a combination of names to keep the pub in, they’ve been able to postpone the collapse of an important small business. On paper, it might sound like a dream – to have your own island and your own pub where a court is held for guests and visitors. There is clearly also a certain interest from regulars who want the business to continue.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of the local area and wants to run the business in the right spirit. The island is called the Isle of Bell and is located off the coast of Cumbria in northwestern England. Since July, the pub has been running an interest group as a temporary solution. The goal is to have a long-term solution from April 2022.
A dream with challenges
Life on the island involves certain challenges, and the mission also includes preserving the island’s unique history and traditions. According to local voices, life on the island has some challenges, which are easy to imagine in terms of merchandise delivery, stable customer flows and feeling isolated during parts of the year.
At the same time, the island and activities are touted as the absolute crown jewel of the area and it is understood that such a place is of great importance to the locals.
If this adventure attracts you, you can submit a registration of your interest from January onwards. It has to be said that there is pressure for the new owner to have good control of the local area and good local knowledge, but don’t let that stop you if this sounds like a dream project.
