David and Simon Reuben have continued to diversify their investments away from property by making an investment into HiSky.
It is said that the investment in the Israel-based company will be used for the network roll out and development of Smartellite. Smartellite is a system that offers what it calls ‘affordable’ global satellite communication at prices lower than existing technology. The system has applications in providing communications and tracking services even in the most remote locations.
A spokesman for Reuben Brothers said: “We are excited to back such a creative team with a proven IP. We expect their solutions to have, very soon, a major impact on the satellite communication industry.”
The Reubens are best known for their property investments, which includes a portfolio of ultra high-end London commercial properties amongst others. However they have extensive investments in many other areas too including mining, shipping, aviation, leisure and banking – underlining the importance of diversification for any successful property investor.
