Volvo has secured a record order for up to 1,000 electric trucks. It was evident when Volvo Trucks signed a letter of intent to sell 1,000 electric trucks through 2030 to Holcim, one of the world’s largest suppliers of building materials. The deal is the largest commercial order to date for Volvo electric trucks, and the first 130 trucks will be delivered in 2023 and 2024.
Holcim is a global supplier of building materials such as cement and concrete with headquarters in Switzerland. Now the company and its subcontractors have signed an agreement with Volvo Trucks to plan to introduce 1,000 electric Volvo Trucks into various Holcim operations in Europe until 2030.
130 first The Volvo FH and Volvo FM heavy-duty and electric trucks will be delivered to France, Germany, Switzerland and Great Britain, among others, during the fourth quarter of 2023 and throughout the next year.
The agreement is one The result of a wider collaboration between Holcim and the Volvo Group.
