Razer’s Naga series was introduced back in 2009 and provided MMO enthusiasts with a mouse with high functionality. The advantage of the Naga series is the large number of freely configurable inch-height buttons available. The buttons in MMO titles are particularly useful, as users can freely program mouse buttons for in-game macros to avoid frantically searching around for the keyboard to activate combos.
The Naga has been updated several times since it came out, and the latest upgrade not only brings the ability to swap out the side buttons of the mouse for more or less buttons, but also an adjustable scroll wheel and the company’s Hyperspeed wireless technology. As with the Naga X, the user can switch between different combinations of side buttons and the panels feature two, six, or twelve buttons. With the latter panel, users get a total of 22 different buttons that can be programmed with complete freedom via Razer software.
The big news on the Naga V2 Pro is the new scroll wheel. You can choose from five different pre-installed modes with different scrolling experiences. If the preset modes are not to your liking, you can change the resistance and the number of steps. However, it remains to be seen if the durability of the scroll wheel is affected depending on the settings.
The mouse switches are Razer switches and should last up to 90 million clicks and have a 0.2mm actuation point. The Naga V2 Pro is equipped with Razer’s Focus Pro 30K, an optical sensor with a maximum sensitivity of 30,000 DPI and a maximum speed of 750 IPS. The battery life is 150 hours via the Hyperspeed dongle, which has also been upgraded and can receive signals from the mouse and keyboard at the same time. Via Bluetooth, the battery life is up to 300 hours. With the cable, the battery life is endless.
Pre-orders for the Razer Naga V2 Pro have started via the Razer website, where they can be ordered for 200 euros, which is approximately 2160 SEK. Delivery takes place at the end of November.
