Manchester United and England footballer Marcus Rashford has bought a 1.2m property in Cheshire after buying a 1.8m one last year, it is reported.
It is suggested that Rashford could be starting to build up a property portfolio with a view to buy to let or property development. The property is located in Wilmslow, a desirable Cheshire town which is favoured by affluent Manchester commuters.
It is also reported that he formed a company, Mucs Properties, in 2017 whose nature of business is declared as the development of building projects.
Although some footballers have a reputation for profligate spending, Rashford would not be the first to understand the benefits of putting money into property. For example, one-time Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler is believed to own a substantial property portfolio, taking his net worth to £31m-plus, which he started initially by buying property in Liverpool at the lowest point of the market. Fowler also offers coaching to would-be property investors.
