Many leading pages today amplify the Swedish Democrats’ view of Russia. The Expressen leadership wrote that the SD is undoubtedly on the side of Ukraine in the ongoing conflict with Russia, but the party shows “dangerous naivety”.
For example, the newspaper cites an interview in DN in which SD party leader Jimmy Akesson took a completely poorly understood view of the danger of the Kremlin trying to influence the Swedish referendum on NATO.
“It is welcome that the SD is now making an effort to be a clean slate of security policy,” Expressen wrote.
Juna Sima of Aftonbladet also notes that Okeson has on several occasions avoided criticizing the Kremlin. Among other things in SVT’s “30 Minutes,” the SD leader did not want to specify who Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin would prefer.
“While Sweden is arming its defenses due to threats from the east, Putin is certainly grateful for the support of the obedient servants of the Swedish Democrats.”
The Omni driving sweep is based on Sweden’s largest driving pages. The selection varies daily.
