A penthouse flat which has
formerly been home to a number of West Ham United footballers is on the market
for just short of £2m, the Daily Mail reports.
The three bed duplex on the 25th and 26th floor of Ontario Tower, near East India Docks in East London, has previously been home to Patrice Evra, Andy Carroll and Jose Fonte. It offers an open plan kitchen and dining area, full height windows and a terrace with views over the River Thames, Canary Wharf and Millennium Dome at Greenwich. The building offers a resident’s gym and pool.
Estate agents Johns &
Co. are listing the property for £1.85m to buy or to rent for £1,750 per week.
Impressive though the specification of the flat is, it isn’t located in an area that is traditionally popular with affluent Premier League footballers. In addition, the purchase price and likely rent suggest a fairly modest yield of 4.9% is on offer – so it will perhaps not be that popular with affluent buy to let landlords either.
