Playstation 5 offers many functions that make the console suitable for the desk as well as on the TV table. The experience has now been further enhanced for desktop gamers, as Sony has updated the console with support for VRR variable refresh rate at 1440p.
VRR has so far only been activated in 1080p and 4K resolutions. Earlier this year, the function was beta tested and with the latest Playstation 5 software update, the function is now launched sharply. To be able to use VRR a compatible display is required, where certification with VESA Adaptive Sync is required, Nvidia G-Sync and AMD Freesync are included, as well as support for HDMI 2.1. If these requirements are met, 1440p users just need to go to the settings and activate the VRR mode.
other offers The new update Discord integration allowing players to participate in voice chats in the software via the game console, better ability to filter titles in the game library and functionality that makes it easier to upload and share screenshots via the Playstation mobile app.
The update is already out and can be downloaded to the Playstation 5, by starting the console and starting the download and installation.
