The Signify Philips Hue smart bulb system has grown in recent years and is a growing player in the smart home space. The Hue division offers a range of products that can light up the home, both indoors and outdoors, as well as provide color and brightness control via phone apps, or smart voice assistants.
The Philips Hue family has received additional additions in the form of new lights, buttons and features. The big news is Perifo, a completely new series of products where the user can install rails on walls or ceilings and place various lamps of different types on the rails, which in turn can be connected to regular wall sockets or lamp sockets. Spotlights, pendant lights, light strips and light tubes can be attached to the Philips Hue logo on the bars.
The Philips Hue Go Portable Light was released a few years ago and introduced the Hue experience in battery-powered and portable apparel. The bowl-shaped lamp has now been upgraded and given a new look reminiscent of a traditional table lamp. The Hue Go Portable is adapted for use both indoors and outdoors and comes with a silicone grip that makes it easier to carry. Battery Life Between 6 to 48 hours of battery life, depending on the brightness and light scenes. Ships via the included charging base.
Other new products in the Hue family are the Signe candle holder, which is available on both table and floor models, and the Xamento spotlights, which are available as a recessed model and as a standard ceiling lamp. Then Signify released a new switch that gives you four buttons to control four different lights, as well as a rotary control that you can use to adjust the brightness.
In addition, Signify has updated the software with new effects. The new Sunrise gadget gives the user a sunrise-like effect that should look like a regular sunrise, but on the inside. The sunrise effect can be found under Auto Wake up via Hue Bridge or under Routines if you control via bluetooth.
Perifo and Hue Go will go on sale at the end of summer. Hue Signe, Xamento, and Tap Dial Switch are available via the Philips Hue website today. Prices for all new products and accessories can be found below.
