Panasonic is improving the functionality of many of its G and S cameras.

Panasonic Lumix S9 – 24MP full-frame compact camera

LUMIX S9 firmware version 1.1

• The recording time limit menu has been added, with a new option to record without a time limit.

• Multi-frame display function has been added, which now allows up to three frames to be displayed simultaneously. This provides more versatility for content creators who want to frame in different aspect ratios or plan shots with multiple compositions, improving the convenience of shooting in Open Gate.

• The hybrid autofocus system has been improved with improved scene recognition. There is now a new option to identify planes and trains, as well as specific parts of cars and motorcycles.

• Compatibility with the LUMIX Lab app has been expanded to include remote shooting, shutter control, and the ability to transfer images selected on the camera.

• Operational stability is improved.
