US video streaming and production company Netflix are
fast expanding their office portfolio at the moment reports say.
The company has recently signed a deal to lease a 20,000 sq ft office in Berners Street, London. This is in addition to a 20,000 sq ft office it also operates in nearby Fitzrovia. The company has also retained CBRE to find a further 160,000 sq ft of commercial space in London, according to a report in the Evening Standard.
Netflix has also recently
committed to establishing a production hub at Shepperton Studios.
While many people are
aware of the fast rate of growth of tech companies like Netflix, their impact
on the real estate business is often overlooked. However, as these kinds of
businesses are expanding fast so will their impact on the property market.
Netflix is now one of the top ten largest Internet companies in the world,
behind Amazon and Facebook but ahead of eBay and Uber.
