This weekend, Agria Hundpromenad went both physical and digital across the country. As many as 9,795 dogs put their feet in the ground and took their mats and homes for a quick walk. Together, they collected a total of SEK 157,950, which will now be useful to the homeless dogs of the Hundstallet.
– It is fantastically pleasing to have such a great commitment in Dog Sweden to help all the dogs waiting for a new home! Many thanks to all participants! says Agnes Fabricius, CEO of Agria Djurförsäkring.
For the first time, Agria Hundpromenad was done both physically and digitally via social media. After a two-year hiatus, the crew flocked to dog parties and folk parties at S.Stockholm, Sundsvall, Linköping, Karlstad, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Växjö, Örebro, Falun, Dejeberga and Skovde. In addition, many individuals and local dog organizations have taken the initiative to bring dogs and dog owners together for walks. At the same time, many dog owners have opted for digital walks and tagged a photo or movie on social media.
For each participant, Agria Djurförsäkring donated 10 SEK to Hundstallet, which on a non-profit basis looks after and transports dogs in need of new homes. The charity blue sash was completely sold out and contributed up to SEK 60,000 out of the total amount which came to SEK 157,950.
Agria Hundpromenad started in 2016 in Stockholm as one charity event. Since then, Hundpromenaden has grown every year and contributed more than 1 million kroner For dogs looking for new homes. This year, the Agria Dog Walk was held simultaneously in Norway, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom, France and Germany.
