Nobody is pushing them to make The Last of Us 3.
Naughty Dog’s Playstation career can be divided into different eras. Bandicoot Crash for the original Playstation, Jak and Daxter to PS2, (mostly) PS3 Anonymous And so The last of us Released for PS3, PS4 and PS5 (coming soon to PC). They broke up the “one series at a time” trend somewhat with the latter two, but in Interview with buzzfeed Neil Druckmann says you sure are “he moved” from Anonymous.
For us, Uncharted has been an insanely successful – Uncharted 4 was one of our best selling games – and we’re able to put our last brush strokes on that story and say we’re done. We are moving.
The dispute has been over a new one Anonymous With the new studio and assistant Naughty Dog. we will see. Because even if Naughty Dog is done with the series, it’s a world they want to see more of.
Sony owns, supports and finances – but does not pay
We probably won’t get anything either The Last of Us 3. The game is up to them, Druckmann says, and they have no pressure from Sony to make one game or the other (something that seems to have worked well). He believes the studio is privileged with Sony owning, financing, and supporting — without pushing it.
can be single The Last of Us 3, but if it doesn’t, Naughty Dog is glad it’s over. It can end there and then.
Our process is the same thing we did when we did Part 2, which is if we can come up with a compelling story that has this universal message and statement about love — just like the first two games did — we’ll tell that story. If we can’t come up with something, we have a very strong ending with Part 2 and that will be the end.
Druckmann recently stated that “I think there is more to say.”, so the probability of a possible third seems more than the opposite. Anyway, we’re obviously going to get a purely multiplayer game in the series.
