Mysko space vortex seen over Hawaii. It is likely caused by the Falcon 9 rocket.

Last week, the Japanese Subaru Telescope captured images of the bright sky phenomenon that was visible over Hawaii. They were all similar to a spiral galaxy but were not at all at such distances normally.

The sky-rising phenomenon is believed to have occurred after one of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets separated during a launch last week. This wouldn’t be the first time SpaceX rockets have caused so many celestial phenomena. Last summer, the launch of the Falcon 9 created a rising “smoke ring” over the US state of Illinois. Then Spaceweather wrote about the event:
“This spiral resulted from the Falcon 9’s upper stage leftover fuel before descending from orbit into the Pacific Ocean. The upper stage probably rotated on its longest axis to stabilize flight direction – hence the spiral shape.”
