Microsoft has announced that it has paused the beta rollout of this year's big Windows 11 update, 24H2. Just a week ago, they announced that they would slowly but surely increase access to the beta version of the operating system for Windows Insider users.
The company didn't reveal anything about why it chose to pause the beta, only writing that it would resume in the coming weeks.
Among the new features in the Windows 11 24H2 release are support for Wifi 7 and HDR wallpapers, as well as a full range of artificial intelligence functions. However, many AI features require a new Copilot Plus computer.

Microsoft has started rolling out the 24H2 build of Windows 11 on the so-called Release Preview channel, which means more beta testers can participate in the preview build.
The sharp version of 24H2 will be launched in the fall and among the news we can mention support for the new Wifi 7 standard, a new function that makes sounds clearer and HDR background images. Furthermore, we have built-in support for Sudo, as well as more options for file compression.
Note that many of the new AI features recently introduced require that you have what's called a Copilot Plus PC, so don't expect to be able to test them on your existing PC.
If you want to download the preview version of 24H2, you must first become a member of the Windows Insider program.
