MEGHAN Markle is reportedly looking forward to seizing the opportunity to get into the royal family's good books
MEGHAN Markle has been asked to mend her broken relationship with Kate Middleton as she struggles to ride out the current storm.
The Princess of Wales has been under scrutiny over her whereabouts since undergoing abdominal surgery in January.
She recently got into trouble after she allegedly edited a photo with her children, which was posted on social media on Mother's Day in the UK.
Talking to MirrorRoyal expert Tom Quinn has suggested that the Duchess of Sussex could exploit the current crisis in the Royal Family to get her way in their good books.
However, he revealed that although she tried to reach out to her estranged sister-in-law to inquire about her health, the future Queen of England was not very receptive to it.
“Meghan has reached out several times through back channels with Kensington Palace to try to see if there is any opportunity to have a better relationship with Kate,” Tom told the outlet.
“This is certainly partly because Meghan is genuinely concerned about Kate's health, but she also sees an opportunity to lose her image of being permanently angry with the royal family.”
The royal author continued: “Kate won't want to be seen to turn down these overtures, but she will take the advice and the advice so far, as I've heard, is certainly – don't take any chances.
He added: “The feeling at Kensington Palace is that if Meghan's attempts to extend an olive branch are welcomed, it will reopen old wounds.”
