London estate and letting agent Marsh & Parsons – part of LSL Property Services Plc – has opened another new branch, an industry website reports.
The new branch at Streatham
Hill comes hot on the heels of the launch of Marsh & Parsons new branch in
Willesden Green just two weeks ago.
The Willesden Green branch is aiming to make inroads into the local market by offering zero commission on sales and lettings until June and the Streatham branch offers a similar incentive.
Patrick Littlemore, Chief Executive at Marsh & Parsons, commented on the opening of the Willesden Green branch: “Our continued expansion in carefully selected London locations, in line with our stated strategy to grow our office network to 36, reinforces our confidence in the long-term health of the London market.”
LSL announced a major
branch closure programme for its Reeds Rains and Your Move brands earlier this
year. The market in London,
especially for sales, is tough right now and most agents seem to be sitting
tight rather than expanding. So many experts will be intrigued by what seems
like an aggressive expansionary policy for Marsh & Parsons. Is it a
desperate attempt to grab a bigger share of a smaller market or a sign that LSL
genuinely believes the London
market is set for an upturn?
