Marit Bergman, Yasmin Kara, Fatboy, Per Pearson and Nia Paquette play Lilla Scenen this summer and complete the 36 artists who will be occupying Liseberg’s stages this year. All concerts at Lilla Scenen will be free and only require entry to the park.
Fatboy, Bear Pearson, and Nia Puckett – June 9
The rockabilly band “Fat Boy” made its debut in 1996 and the six members of the band are united in their fascination with the love of the American rockabilly sound. Today, seven albums later, they are a live Swedish institution that gathers fans on June 9 for an evening of swinging at Lilla Scenen.
Songwriter and artist Per Persson has always been a particular part of Swedish music history. The band he created, Persons Pack, debuted in 1989 with the album “Kärlek och dynamit”, but became known to the general public with the single “Tusen dagar hårån” in 1991, featuring Jacob Hellmann on vocals. When the Pearson Pack folded in 2014, Pearson continued under his name, but it wasn’t long before desire crept into the band. There then Per Pearson and Nia Paquette were born. Now they are ready to face the public again at Lilla Scenen in Liseberg.
Jasmine Kara – June 17th
Jasmin Kara is an artist and songwriter who got her start as a street musician on the streets of New York and is today one of Sweden’s most prominent blues and soul artists. In 2010, the debut album “Blues Ain’t Nothing But a Good Woman Gone Bad” was released after which she participated in most major Swedish TV shows, performed several times at the Grammy Awards and was nominated for the P3 Gold Award. Yasmine Kara has also achieved international success, for example, with tours in Japan and the number one iTunes Blues chart in Great Britain.
Marit Bergman – July 14th
Marit Bergman broke through in the early 2000s as a pop profiler with the album “3.00 AM Serenades”. Her career took off and in 2004 she released her second album, “Baby, Dry Your Eye,” which won her two Grammy Awards in the categories of Composer of the Year and Artist of the Year. Marit arrived in New York and continued to release music but abstained almost entirely from public performances until 2013, when she returned. At the beginning of the year, her second Swedish-language album “Här kommer vargen” was released.

Liseberg celebrates its centenary
In 2023, Liseberg celebrates 100 years as an amusement park. For a century, Liseberg has been the heart and pride of Gothenburg and the meeting place for Gothenburg’s well-wishers. A magical place where people experience joy together in ever new generations. The anniversary celebration kicks off with a big premiere in April with the new attraction Luna and not least the new Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel. It will be a year full of joy, warmth and lots of celebrations in all its forms.
